Optimise strengthens UK and Global Teams with new hires

As part of its ongoing programme of international expansion and reorganisation, international performance marketing company Optimise has appointed a new Chief Finance Officer and new Commercial Director.

Pete Newman has joined Optimise as the new Commercial Director for the UK business. Newman, a former ‘Hot Shot Rising Star’ in the 2012 Performance Marketing Awards, has a highly successful track record in business development and brings a wealth of digital and commercial expertise, having previously been International Sales Director at Forward3D and Partnerships Director at Found.

In his new role Newman will be responsible for accelerating the commercial success of the business through developing the sales teams and activities across the core divisions of Optimise UK, including the Affiliate network, Mobile network and Rewards marketing technology. UK MD Carla Arrindell said “Pete is incredibly knowledgeable and a well-respected figure in the performance marketing industry. He is the ideal choice to oversee the next phase of our development. I’m confident he will add significant value to the UK business and our clients, across the breadth of performance channels.” Newman will report into Optimise UK MD Carla Arrindell and join the already strong UK management team.

Richard Savelli joins Optimise as the new Chief Finance Officer for the Group’s businesses in Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. Savelli has a successful track record in Financial Services including launching Norwich Union Direct, setting up its4me and supporting the transition and sale of the RAC, and is recognised for supporting businesses through major growth and change.

Optimise CEO Richard Syme said “we’ve invested heavily in expanding our operations into new high growth regions in Asia-Pacific and Latin America, and have achieved great success so far. Richard has a huge amount of experience and will play a significant role in supporting the Group’s businesses during a period of major transition and growth, and helping the Group realise its ambition of achieving £100m turnover in the next few years.” Richard Savelli will report into Optimise CEO Richard Syme and work alongside Group Strategy Director, Stephen Rumbelow and Chief Operating Officer, Nathan Salter.

Stephen has a degree in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, combined with a wealth of Advertiser and Publisher-side experience spanning Retail, Mobile and Finance, working for high-profile Brands like Aviva, Virgin and Hiscox. Since joining Optimise in 2011, Stephen has helped drive the commercial performance of the UK business through the growth of new publishers and technologies; and International growth through development of a global strategy for new technology and media. Stephen optimises the strategy, shared learning, technical development and revenue growth opportunities across the Optimise International businesses.
